The Royal Botanical Gardens wanted to create a holiday celebration exhibit at their Rock Garden in honour of Canada’s 150th year. The exhibition explores how multicultural traditions and activities are rooted in natural phenomena.
As attendees walked through the garden, they arrived at various stations to watch or listen to a story of celebration. Each activation had programmed audio, lighting, and video to go along with the story. We also lit up the entire garden area to create a magical and enchanted holiday ambiance. Over the course of the exhibit, tens of thousands of guest came through the garden. There were even some marriage proposals accepted under the light canopy.
For the technical aspects we used a variety of lighting fixtures to create the mood and atmosphere in the garden. This included over 200 Elation ELAR 108 and FUZE Z120 outdoor lights, 3000 feet of string lights, 60,000 Christmas lights, and other equipment to sync the entire production together.
